What is PDRN and why is it a hit?
PDRN are salmon DNA fragments derived from gonads, purified and adapted for cosmetic use. This ingredient helps restore and revitalize the skin, supports normal moisture levels and stimulates fibroblasts – the cells that synthesize collagen. Certain studies also point to a positive effect on discoloration and uneven complexion, especially in combination with vitamin C and niacinamide. For those who avoid ingredients of animal origin, there are also vegan variants of PDRN, for example derived from barley germ.
