What is Sea Buckthorn?

Sea Buckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides) is one of our key ingredients.

Sea Buckthorn is a prickly deciduous plant that grows in temperate regions from Europe to Asian countries. The fruit, a yellow or orange berry, is sought after for its strong physiological effects.

The oil obtained from the fruit is what gives color to many of our products.

What makes Sea Buckthorn special?

Sea buckthorn is rich in key vitamins, nutrients and fatty acids (oils):

The fruits of the sea buckthorn contain 25 times more vitamin C than an orange, and it is responsible for collagen production and maintenance and helps as a potent antioxidant. It also contains Vitamin E, which helps in the reduction of free radicals and aging, and Vitamin K, which helps the body to heal wounds and fats.
