More about PDRN

LEARN MORE ABOUT PDRN INGREDIENT:

Medicube products from the PDRN (polydeoxyribonucleotide) line contain DNA-derived polynucleotides, or DNA fragments from the gonads - the sex glands of salmon. PDRN is a component derived from salmon sperm, meaning it is not the sperm itself but is a by-product of the same, which has been further purified. Therefore, products from this line are not vegan.

The polynucleotides in this ingredient are biocompatible with our skin, stimulate the growth of fibroblasts (cells that create collagen) and therefore have powerful regenerative properties. It stimulates skin recovery for a revitalized appearance, and is also a signaling ingredient that has antioxidant effects. This is why it is very often used with other signaling ingredients such as peptides.

They successfully treat premature signs of skin aging such as loss of volume and elasticity, wrinkles and fine lines, as well as "tired" and dehydrated skin. Instantly restores the feeling of hydration and supports moisture levels within the skin.
Additionally, the antioxidant effect is particularly noteworthy - it neutralizes the effects of free radicals, helps create antioxidant reserves within the skin for a prolonged effect, and even repairs the long-term effects of UV exposure.
Certain studies* show that it also has a positive effect on discoloration and uneven skin tone, especially when combined with popular brightening ingredients like vitamin C and niacinamide.

On the ingredients list it is called "Aqua-Butylene Glycol-Sodium DNA".
